Allocating fixed resources for DMUs with interval data

چکیده
Conventional DEA models tend to allocate the fixed resources multiple decision-making units (DMUs) and treat allocated resource as an extra input for every single DMU. However, existing allocation (DEA-RA) methods are applicable exclusively DMUs with exact values of inputs outputs. A lack precision or output data DMUs, such interval data, would cause a failure DMUs. In order resolve this problem, three DEA-RA proposed in paper different scenarios decision-making. All based on set common weights. Finally, empirically tested validated through examples. As revealed by results, our capable providing more fair practical initial scheme decision makers.

Allocating fixed costs and resources via data envelopment analysis
In this paper we first (trivially) show that data envelopment analysis can be viewed as maximising the sum of the efficiencies of the decision-making units (DMU's) in the organisation. Building upon this we present nonlinear models for: (a) allocating fixed costs to DMU's and (b) allocating resources to DMU's. Simultaneous to allocating resources output targets are also decided for each DMU. Nu...
متن کاملAllocation models for DMUs with negative data
The formulas of cost and allocative efficiencies of decision making units (DMUs) with positive data cannot be used for DMUs with negative data. On the other hand, these formulas are needed to analyze the productivity and performance of DMUs with negative data. To this end, this study introduces the cost and allocative efficiencies of DMUs with negative data and demonstrates that the introduc...
متن کاملranking dmus with interval data using dea and ca approaches
data envelope analysis (dea) is an approach to estimate the relative efficiency of decision making units (dmus). several studies were conducted in order to prioritize efficient units and some useful models such as cross-efficiency matrix (cem) were presented. besides, a number of dea models with interval data have been developed and ranking dmus with such data was solved. however, presenting a...
متن کاملComputing the efficiency interval of decision making units (DMUs) having interval inputs and outputs with the presence of negative data
The basic assumption in data envelopment analysis patterns (DEA) (such as the CCR andBCC models) is that the value of data related to the inputs and outputs is a precise andpositive number, but most of the time in real conditions of business, determining precisenumerical value is not possible in for some inputs or outputs. For this purpose, differentmodels have been proposed in DEA for imprecis...
متن کاملAllocating the Fixed Resources and Setting Targets in Integer Data Envelopment Analysis
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric approach to evaluate a set of decision making units (DMUs) consuming multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs. Formally, DEA use to estimate the efficiency score into the empirical efficient frontier. Also, DEA can be used to allocate resources and set targets for future forecast. The data are continuous in the standard DEA model whereas th...
